Question Bench
Suzanne was commissioned to create a permanent art installation on the Main Street of Wellington, Ontario in Prince Edward County.

The question bench is an invitation. To sit, to stay, to breathe, to think, to ponder, to inquire and to connect. Whether visiting the bench alone, with a friend, significant other or stranger, the bench invites a dialogue.
The bench is painted in a gradient of colours mirroring the view from Water Street on a summer’s day. Overlayed on the soft background tones of grass, rock, lake and sky are a series of simple yet powerful questions. These questions provoke contemplation and a connection to the moment, space and community.

In a world fixated on answers, this art project attempts to redistribute power to the question and all it can bring us.
